June 2010

CIPD

Alistair has been continuing his work with the CIPD this month by starting delivery of the first open modular programme for the Certificate for HR Practice (CHRP) in London.

The first Modular Certificate in HR Practice programme has also been kicked off in Abu Dhabi, starting with a 2 day workshop covering Introduction and Professional Development. Further modules are scheduled throughout the year and into 2011.

The Diploma in HR Practice for the Abu Dhabi Health Authority SEHA has continued this month with the second module looking at Understanding organisations and the Strategic role of HR and how to use HR information strategically.

The Primark Stores Employee Engagement training has continued this month with courses run in London, Basingstoke and Sheffield.

Advantage Resourcing Sales Programme

The third workshop took place this month, looking at conducting effective Client Meetings. Following on from the previous workshops further positive steps have been reported and the senior sales team are continuing to progress well with their sales objectives.

CIPD

Alistair continues his role with the CIPD this month by leading the Diploma in HR Practice for the Abu Dhabi Health Authority SEHA, which he has also helped to design. The programme is the start of a number of programmes with SEHA to help them develop the capability of their HR team, begining with the HR Leadership Team on this programme which will take 9 months to complete.

He has also delivered a 5 day Job Interview Skills Programme in Oman for the Omani Ministry of Defence and continues with the Primark Stores Employee Engagement training back in the UK in Reading and Bristol.

Alistair has also led a 3 day Talent Management Workshop for Globul, the second largest Telecoms provider in Bulgaria.

Halcrow

A further workshop was held this month in respect of Business Development training, looking at Account Management and Development.

Lloyds TSB Middle East

ALR have been working with Lloyds to deliver a two day Sales Refresher Workshop focused on Commercial Banking. The initial reaction to the course has been very positive, with Lloyds reporting that the course scored over 90% in terms of learner satisfaction, which is significantly higher than their usual benchmark figure of 70%. In addition Graham Mitchell the Senior Manager for Commerical Banking in the region has already reported a number of immediate benefits from the programme, not least of which has been the redesign of their Business Customer Review Form to help improve the quality of information gained from the sales process.

Advantage Resourcing Sales Programme

The second workshop took place this month, looking at marketing and business development. A number of positive steps have already been reported from the previous workshop and the senior sales team are progressing well with their sales objectives.

Learning & Development Network in the UAE

Allstair helped some local companies in the UAE set up the first of what is hoped to be many Learning and Development Network Events. The purpose of these sessions is to create a forum for those interested in L&D in the UAE to share ideas and best practice and help and support each other with the challenges and opportunities that the region presents. The event was well received and another one has been set up for July.

Training has continued this month on key business development areas with the management team in the Middle East.

CIPD Programme with Primark

The training programmes on Employee Engagement for Primark Stores has continued this month.

Advantage Resourcing Sales Programme

The first in a series of sales training and management courses which will run over the next year started with Advantage Resourcing this month

Emirates NBD

ALR have been working with Emirates National Bank of Dubai this month as part of their Managerial Leadership Programme by running Business Simulation Workshops.

ILM Award Programme in Nigeria

ALR ran its first ILM Award Programme in Nigeria this month with the assistance of Lonadek Gas & Oil Consultants. Following the Workshops delegates said:

Working with CIPD

Alistair Redgrave has been working again this month with the CIPD delivering HR for Non HR Managers and Coaching and Objective Setting Workshops for Arig in Bahrain and a Performance Management Strategy Workshop for Bradford Care Trust in the UK.

Lisa Brandon from the Bradford Care Trust said:
