ALR working with CIPD Enterprises – Highlights

 

Conflict Management training continued this month with the workshop being held in Loughborough.

 

The Northern CHRP students attended their Resourcing Talent module in London over two days.  The second day involved a skills based assessment on recruitment and selection interviewing.

 

The London Management Development programme saw a new Cohort 4 start with module 1 on Psychology of Management, whilst Cohort 2 attending module 3 on Managing Performance to achieve results which had been postponed from June.

 

A Working across Cultures workshop was held over two days in Dorking

 

The Croydon Leadership programme delegates returned for the final two modules 5 and 6 on Developing Capability and Context for Change.

 

Following the success of the previous two CHRP qualification programmes in Manila, Philippines, the client has commissioned a third cohort to take place.  This will be split into three one week workshops and the 16 students were keen to start their studies with the modules on Developing yourself as an effective HR practitioner, Recording analysing and using HR information and Understanding organisations and the role of HR.  They will return in October for the second session.

It’s been a busy month for our qualification programmes.

 

In Nottingham Cohort 8 of the CHRM qualification programme attended their final module on Reward Management.  They will submit their last assessment in July to complete the programme.  Students have said ‘Thank you so much for all your guidance and support. I have really enjoyed my CIPD learning and appreciated your support thoroughly.’ ‘Thank you for sharing all your knowledge, your enthusiasm, providing limitless support and guidance along the way.’  Meanwhile Cohort 8 of the CHRP programme attended their next two workshops on Recording, Analysing and Using HR Information and Understanding Organisations and the Role of HR.

 

In Manchester Cohort 7 of the CHRP qualification programme gathered in Manchester for the module on Resourcing Talent.  On the second day of the workshop the students took part in a practical skills assessment to evaluate their learning of the topic.  Cohort 9 of the CHRM qualification attended their 3rd module on Using Information in HR. Cohort 10 of the CHRM qualification programme returned for module 2 on Business Issues and the Context of HR.

 

Cohort 6 of the CHRP qualification programme successfully completed their final assessment Supporting Good Practice in Managing Employment Relations.  Positive feedback has been received by the Students including ‘I just wanted to say a general thanks for the support you’ve given me over the last few months, I really didn’t know what to expect when I signed up for this, having last studied for something like this about 20 years ago, but thanks to your support and enthusiasm you’ve made a very enjoyable experience.’ ‘Thanks for all your patience and help – I couldn’t have done it without you.’ ‘Thank you so much again for your professional guidance and support… I can’t believe I’m in this place - magic course with fantastic people.’ ‘Thank you so much, especially for all your help and patience I wouldn’t of been able to do this without all your support.’ ‘I’d just like to thank you for all your support during the CIPD course. You really made the sessions enjoyable.’

 

A celebratory event was held in Canary Wharf, London for students who have completed and passed their qualification programmes earlier in the year.

 

The Croydon Leadership programme delegates returned for Modules 3 and 4 on Managing People.  The final two modules will take place in July.

Progressive People training has continued with session 3 on Core Strategic Skills in London.

The Consultative Selling workshop was held in Leeds this month for the client.  Some good feedback has been received too from the delegates. ‘It was a useful workshop and established some new tolls for me to engage with clients.’ ‘I enjoyed the session today and picked up a few useful pointers and areas for development.’

ALR working with CIPD Enterprises – Highlights

 

Cohort 6 of the CHRP qualification programme attended their final module on Supporting Good Practice in Managing Employment Relations in London over two days.  They will submit their last assessment in June to complete the programme.  One student said ‘Thanks for your help during this course. I have felt very supported by you.’

 

A HR as a Business Partner Workshop was held in Andover for a returning client.

 

The client running Strategic Manager and New Manager training in London asked to extend the programme to include Module 3 on Managements Skills and Module 5 on Coaching and Performance Management respectively.

 

Conflict Management training continued this month with the workshop being held in Swansea for the employees based in that area.

 

The London Management Development programme saw Cohorts 1 (HR & Regional Managers and Cohort 3 (Ops Managers and OSM’s) attending module 3 on Managing Performance to achieve results.

 

The Northern CHRP students attended their second workshop in Telford to undertake units 2 and 3 on Recording, Analysing and Using HR Information and Understanding Organisations and the Role of HR.

 

The Croydon Leadership programme delegates returned for Module 2 on Working with teams. The following feedback was given. ‘I have been on a number of similar courses over many years and I can say with all honesty that yours is good.’

 

A new cohort 10 for the London based qualification programme has started with for the Level 5 Certificate in HR Management.  Module 1 covered Developing Professional Practice in Nottingham.

 

Some positive feedback has been received from students on a recently completed Level 5 qualification programme as follows:

The Consultative Selling workshops continued this month in London.  One of the delegates said afterwards ‘Many thanks for a very informative and useful day – I got much more out of it than I had anticipated.  Really useful to have a construct/framework within which to work.’ ‘Thank you I really enjoyed the training session.’

ALR working with CIPD Enterprises – Highlights

 

An existing client from 2017 has returned for further Conflict Management training for it’s employees, the first workshop has been held in Loughborough.

 

The London Management Development programme saw Cohorts 1 (HR & Regional Managers) Cohort 2 (Ops Managers) and Cohort 3 (Ops Managers and OSM’s) attending module 2 on Communicating for Positive Impact.

 

Cohort 8 of the CHRM qualification programme returned to London for their penultimate workshop on Resourcing and Talent Planning.

 

A new Leadership programme started this month in Croydon which will continue over the coming months.  The delegates will undertake six modules, the first one covered the topic of Working with others.

 

The Basildon Management Development workshops continued for the Team Managers with module 3 which was on Managing Performance to Achieve Results

 

A new cohort 8 for the London based qualification programme has started with for the Certificate in HR Practice.  Module 1 covered Developing yourself as an Effective HR Practitioner.

ALR working with CIPD Enterprises – Highlights

The London based qualification programmes have been busy this month with 5 of the cohorts, including a new one in the north, attending workshops.  CHRP 7 completed Recording, Analysing and Using HR information, CHRM 9 completed Business Issues and the Context of HR with one student saying afterwards ‘Thank you for your patience and enthusiasm over the last couple of days. You have very clearly and explicitly set out everything we need to do and I’m grateful for your excellent stewardship. Even though the course is intense, I am really enjoying it.’

 

CHRP 6 completed Supporting Good Practice in Performance and Reward Management which included a workshop based practical assessment.  These were all held over two days in London. 

 

Meanwhile CHRM 7 attended their final workshop in Manchester on Reward Management and the new North cohort started with Developing Yourself as an Effective HR Practitioner in Newcastle.  One of the students said afterwards ‘The course is really good.  The trainer is great really enthusiastic and knowledgeable.  Course seems to have been contextualised to our organisation and he seems to have a good understanding of HR within it which is good.’

 

The Basildon Management Development workshops continued for the Operations Managers and Team Managers with module 2 which was on Communicating for Positive Impact.

 

Cohort 3 of the London Management Development programme saw the Ops Managers attend module 1 on Psychology of Management.

 

ALR working Internationally – Highlights

 

CEMEX in Rugby held a Telesales Training workshop – The Small End Customer Commercial Manager said afterwards ‘Many thanks for your time today. As discussed, I found the session really useful and it covered a lot of areas, which are relevant to the development needs of the team.’

 

Guidant – Progressive People 2018 kicked off with the first session of the year.  The programme will continue through until December in London.

ALR working with CIPD Enterprises – Highlights

The Strategic Manager training concluded with Module 2 whilst the New Manager Training also finished their last Module 4 on supporting development.

 

A new programme of Management Development Workshops for a London based client started this month.  Module 1 was attended by Cohort 1 consisting of HR and Regional Managers and Cohort 2 consisting of Operations Managers.  Some positive feedback has been received from one of the delegates who said ‘This course was really good and makes you look at a few different methods. I had been thinking for a while about 1:1’s so I’m going to crack on and get everyone’s planned in.  Alistair was brilliant.  I don’t think I’ve ever met a more positive and enthusiastic person!’

 

Some lovely feedback has been received from the CHRP Cohort 5 delegates who have now completed their final MER assessment.  ‘You’ve been a great tutor and I really appreciate all you’ve done to help me get through to the end of the course - Thank You!!  ‘Thank you for all you help and support throughout the whole programme – very much appreciated.’  ‘Thanks for all your support and encouragement along the way. I think you’ve made it an enjoyable programme and no doubt a more supportive 10 months than I was expecting.’  ‘Many thanks for the encouragement.’  ‘I feel so proud to have done this, it’s not easy managing work and home life, but it’s a real sense of achievement having completed the CHRP.’  ‘Thanks for all your help Alistair, it’s been lovely to have you as our tutor.’ ‘Thank you so much for all your help and patience during the programme.’

 

A group of Operations Managers and Team Managers from Basildon are taking part in Management Development workshops over the next few months.  The first module was on the Psychology of Management.
